It's all about the people
The other day a few of us who come from driverse backgrounds from social entrepreneurs to CXOs of a few corporations were having a coffee table discussion and the common ground was, we all have to do better and what can we do?
Better meant many things to many of us. For some it was processes, others systems, tools, infrastructure and for some the people. I asked everyone a simple question. Who and what builds all the issues or challenges we all faced. The common answer was people.
It is "people" you and me that build everything as individuals and as teams. To me personally that is the most important aspect of any successful relationship, professionally or personally. The people.
Look at Ricardo Semler. For over two decades Ricardo Semler, CEO of Brazil-based Semco, has let his employees set their own salaries, times and choose their path with great success. It is the people that have made the difference.

Look at the most successful initiatives around whether in Social Entrepreneurship or Education or corporations. Look at Stanford Univeristy. It is always the people. Find the right people, give them the vision and let the mission be bottom up. People will build the systems, develop the processes and execute as a team, as long as it is all about the people.
We have to take responsibility in getting people to understand challenges, be sensitive, try our best and once that is in the DNA, the rest like they say is simply history. It is a win-win.
