Human Capital is a competitive advantage and a great opportunity for social entrepreneurs to leverage. It is also an opportunity that governments and private enterprise is working to leverage as a population and market respectively. Areas of focus today are;

a. Education - K-12, Undergrad and Domain
b. Innovation
c. Entrepreneurship
d. Local knowledge

Why is human capital now a large conversation across many leaders, entrepreneurs and catalysts alike? It is the sheer mass of people in emerging economies (Asia has over 3 billion) that are critical to the future of these economies, both as producers and consumers of products and services. The interest that is being generated in leveraging human capital has some real interesting programs from across the world;

Some examples from above also represent a vast amount of possibilities for social entrepreneurs and who want to leverage content, communities, collaboration and BOP business models to catalyze Human Capital. The next billion represents this challenge and everyone is working hard to capitalize on, to be a catalyst of change.
