Invitation to participate and collaborate in the first ever blog project for ICTs in development for the Indian subcontinent

What development means to me

I am extremely appreciative of the Digital Vision Program by Reuters and Stanford University. As a young researcher, advocate and believer in the potential of information and communication technologies (ICTs) in changing the socio-economic landscape of communities, I am also grossly aware of the lack of participation and collaboration across stakeholders of ICTs-supported programs and projects the world over.

When the system responds and works

Laura truly is a family person. While I hardly ever visit relatives to avoid being a burden for anyone, she takes extreme care of getting in touch with everyone and visiting them everytime she's in town. This time, finally, I came along for the ride. So for the past 3 days she's been dragging me across town, uptown and downtown, East and West of New York, to meet her relatives from both sides of her family.

An open source quiz maker that rocks

Hi all:

Just wanted to share this quiz maker (open source) which is one of the best definitely ever. Only problem: Some feedback windows may have English spelling/grammar mistakes. Tried convincing Luca to correct it, but haven't heard from him yet.

Two new courses on campus.educar.org

This weekend a World War I History course and a Design of Earthquake resistant houses course were enabled on the Open Virtual Campus http://campus.educar.org

The Open Virtual Campus allows educators anywhere in the world to create their own on-line courses and virtual learning environments for their classes. It is completely free, supported by revenue generated by Educar.org and is based on the open source platform Moodle. Over 4500 people from all over Latin America and around the world have registered and participate in the campus.
