For Social Entrepreneurs
On our collaboration framework, you will find not only a set of tools to improve your initiatives but an active community of people and organizations who will support, mentor, provide solutions, help and even partner with your project.
Make sure you complete your personal profile and that you post your project or idea using the project profile template. If you have specific areas where you would like to be helped by others, post a request for help providing the necessary information about your project and the nature of the help desired.
Browse the user directory and contact those who may be of interest to you. If you don't want to be contacted by others, disable the contact features (private message and e-mail) in your personal profile.
Also remember that in order to receive, one must also give... So be sure to offer your assistance and help to others, either by answering or commenting their posts or by posting an offer to help others using the template available.
Explore the Project Toolkit and take advantage of all of its features.
Browse our selection of Development News from external sources by categories, sources, or general summaries. Then add your sources of interest to your bookmarks.
Do start and maintain a blog, with regular postings to it. Remember that blogs are casual by nature and you don't need to worry about syntax or format. Just post your ideas, experiences, challenges, desires, rewards, achievements, frustrations, etc. every day or every couple of days in your blog so people can keep track of what you are doing. A blog is also a very effective way to let others learn more about your project and get visibility (blogs get indexed very quickly by search engines).
We will be adding some valuable resources, information and contacts in the weblink sections as well as in the Toolkit, so do check back before the end of the week to see them.
