For those of us working on Education related projects, this list of available grants will be of interest, not just because of the possibility of accessing funds, but because it may also serve as a meter of what are the areas of interests and priorities of those providing grants.

RDVP Michael Chertok's Project - Finalist in BID Challenge

RDVP Fellow Michael Chertok has been selected to enter Round 2 of the Bid (Business in Development) Challenge. More than 900 business plans were reviewed in Round 1 and Michael's plan was one of the 74 finalists selected to continue on to Round 2. "The BiD Challenge stimulates small and medium enterprise development in developing countries through an online international Business Plan competition for poverty reduction and profit." Note about start times of events

There seems to be confusion regarding the start times of our meetings/seminars.

They do vary between starting at 3 and 3:30. Therefore, please make a special effort to note the times.

January 17th DV meeting cancelled

With the full-day retreat on Monday, we decided to cancel the Tuesday DV meeting on January 17th.

DV Meeting time change - winter term

To follow up on the topic of changing the Monday meeting times for winter term, we will be holding our DV meetings on Tuesdays from 3:30pm-5:00pm, starting January 10, 2006.

Please plan accordingly.

Greetings All!

Would anyone benefit from having an informal mentor from Microsoft?

Microsoft employees have been mentors in the past and are willing to do so again in the future. Because we are half way into the Program, this would be an informal mentorship...imagine it would be for someone who has a specific technical/business need that would lend itself well to Microsoft support. This would be non-financial support....intellectual/technical...
