images and galleries

Users can easily upload and include images in their posts by clicking on an icon that appears under the text areas fields which also gives them access to existing images in the system (users have the choice of making the images public or private). The system automatically generates a thumbnail for the image and the user may select to include the thumbnail, the full image or a custom sized version of the image. A caption can also be included. Users can also upload images as a resource or content (just like an article). Images can be placed in existing galleries and in groups if desired.

feeds for fellows blogs

RSS feeds have been added for several fellows current blogs outside fellownies. This way we are flexible enough to include fellows already working in other plattforms as part of our community. Of course, it's much better if we all open and maintain our blogs at fellownies . 

glossary

A list of terms that may be foreign to visitors is identified by the system upon display of content, placing a small icon with and a description and a link adjacent to the term, the first time it is displayed on a page. This is done by the system for any content added by anyone.

As an example, take open the links below and see the little icons next to telemedicine, digital vision fellowship, social entrepreneurship, ICT and human development and other relevant terms.

Our news aggregator pulls content from over 10 different external sources to bring us updated news and articles on everything related to human development from microfinance to education and human rights.
